The photos as of June 2024 don't show the layout. It's a typical cheap motel with wimpy window AC, rooms opening onto the parking lot, and persistent mustiness. The smell was heavy and immediate when opening the door and stuck to my clothes 200 miles away. It only dissipated when the AC was cranked.
The dead gnats and roach carcass under the comforter were the cherry on top. I've managed to avoid this kind of problem for over 20 years, even when I was young and broke.
