This hotel is very centrally located, nearby all main shopping and sightseeing areas, including museums in central Shanghai. It is a good value. The female reception staff was very nice and helpful during check-in, in super speed and without any fuss. Another reception staff named Xian was also extremely helpful and understanding when I extended my stay. I would certainly come back to stay there.

The hotel is so old. unfortunately we found a coackroach at room the first night. and this bad experience made us unhappy. By the way they changed our room for the other nights.
also don’t have a slipper for bathroom!
and the windows aren’t isolated, although air conditioner turned on, but still the room was cold. we catched a cold on our trip :(
İf cleanness and being new, is important for u , I recommend to NOT choose this hotel.

The location of the hotel is good, but the cleanliness is bad. Also, the towels and the sheets all smelled like cigarette.

We stayed 2 nights here in mid-Nov '24. Check in was fast and fuss-ftee. We noticed the lobby was rather dimly lit and looked rather worn out.. Room size was large enough and everything from aircon, water heater, lights worked fine. Large window looked out to the back potion of dreary houses and high-rise in the background. Location-wise it took us about 10 minutes to reach the nearest People's Square metro station and onwards to the bustling Nanjing Road. Before we realised it we were at The Bund! Overall ok for the price we paid. There was at least one more similar class hotel nearer to the metro station.

We were on a budget when looking for a place to stay in Shanghai, which is much more expensive than most other places in China. We found this place with good prices but mostly a very good location! Close enough to the metro, loads of food and bars in the area and walking distance of the Bund. The hotel is a bit old, sure, but rooms are kept clean, water is hot and staff is nice. So all you can wish for at this price!
