mixed experiences in a good location

The former railway station is close to the castle, the only real Attraction of the city. Opposite there is a supermarket.
The rooms are big. Everything was clean and working. The number and location of sockets was ok. The wifi was good. The noise insulation of the windows was ok, but the hallways and staircases reverberate extremely, so a quiet sleep is hardly possible.
The remote control for the air conditioning had to be obtained at the reception. Room service was limited to providing new towels and toilet paper.
Breakfast was modest even by Georgian standards.

horror house

terrible, dirty, unkindlist staff, disgusting food, very bad place, the bed was gruesome, technik not working, door not to close, ... crazy, stupid, terrible, a very very bad ecperience ... the perfect location for a horror film!!!

not worthy of iets name

I admit, the hall is "grand". Huge with soviet style marble. but that is it. Rooms are OK, breakfast is a joke so far that most of our group went acrross the street to have breakfast in a nice shop where it was proven that at least some people can smile here. Nobody in the hotel could care less if you were there or not.
Wifi only possible in the "grand hall" so that is where people gathered.

No soap for the shower

The hotel was converted from a former railway station. There are many steps to enter the hotel, which is difficult with a suitcase. There are two sections to the hotel - one has an elevator and one does not. When I asked at the desk for soap for the shower I was told they had none and offered me another bottle of shampoo instead. The minimum one expects from a hotel is soap.

Staff should learn to smile

This is a rather grim hotel to stay in. The staff were very unfriendly and never responded to a smile while we were there. Breakfast was basic though the bread was fresh. Rooms were very plain and the toilet didn't flush properly and was smelly. Although there was a balcony there were no chairs to sit on it. Our room was noisy with people talking on the balcony above until 4am in the morning. To be avoided, unless improvements are made. A child had to be phoned by reception to answer the simple question of what breakfast was on offer.
