Could be far better & could be far worse
Positive:
1). Decent Location
- 15 minute walk to Reeperbanh (+)
- 5 minute walk to Stellingen Station (+)
2) Decent showers (+)
3) Confortable beds (+)
4) Nice personnel (if you ever get to see them!)
5). Cheap (+), BUT...... NOT IN TERMS OF THE QUALITY YOU GET!!
Negative:
1) The rooms are small & poorly equipped. (-)
2) The hostel area is really noisy (avoid the "hostel" if you have sleeping problems). (-)
3) It`s weird that the hostel personnel is only at the "hostel" from 3-6pm. (-)
4) No towels are provided. (-)
5) The rooms are smelly... Moisture smell... The "hostel needs an urgent renewal". (-)
6). They don´t clean the rooms while you are staying at the hostel. (-)
If I ever return to Hamburg I wouldn´t mind staying here again as long as it was just for 1 night or maximum 2 nights. No more.

Simple Rooms
Positive: -Good location near Sternschanze.
- Clean Room & Beds
Negative: - 1 bathroom for 3 rooms
- no soap in the bathrooms.
Overall a good place for a 1-2 Night stay.

It is what it is and it could be OK with you.
This is a strange "hotel" if you want to call it that. It searved our purpose, but for a lot of others it might not.
As others have mentioned, the receptionist is only there a few hours in the afternoon for check-in. If you ARE going to be late, make sure you email them and they will leave the Key at the nearby gas station.
If you need towels, they are extra (1 or 1 1/2 Euro if I remember) -- If you know about that - Just add that to your cost of the room.
It is a very do-able (5-10 minute) walk to the local S-Bahn station. We did it with luggage. Not a problem- IF your luggage has wheels.
The neighborhood is "interesting" with several clubs at the intersection. We stayed on a Saturday night and the partying continued till 2AM, with some partying until 4AM. You CAN hear them. So, if you want peace and quite, do not stay here on a weekend night. My quess is that during the week it is likely more quiet
If I were younger, the clubs would not have bothered me, and I might have even have liked the location because I could go party through the night and then stumble to my bed.
Since there will be no one to check you out, you just drop the keys into the mailbox in the hallway as you leave.
The Bedpark was clean, so if you know what you are getting into, this place might work for you.
