Would highly recommended

I found this place reasonably priced and very clean. The beds were comfortable and there was no noise heard from our double room. The location is perfect and the guesthouse is right beside a small shop with cheap prices.
The owner was exceptional making sure we got the best company for our onward journey. She also gave us biscuits while we waited for our bus and offered us showers. Very professional and enjoyed our stay.

Scammers and thieves are alive and well at this guest house.

Avoid this horrible place like the plague. Rude staff and ignorant receptionists at the counter. Had my shoulder bag stolen and the "Winged Victory Monument" and mysteriously my passport turned up at his horrible place but my wallet, credit cards and phone were missing.. How did my passport (thankfully) turn up here? - very strange and suspicious. The Manager refuses to say how this occurred. Avoid is this scammers guest house at all costs!

just awful

when 12go Asia didn't get our train tickets as booked and confirmed (another story and review coming....) they put us up in the intouch. This really was the worst I have seen in years of SE Asia backpacking with the 'friendliness' of the staff to boot. The sheets were dirty, and the blankets didn't have sheets at all. I have never been so glad for my own sleeping bag and a 6am scheduled time to leave.....

Glorified Back Packers.

The g/h was hard to find as wrong phone number quoted and different facade from one on web site. Despite having confirmation of booking and money taken from bank a/c[hotels booking.com] I was told there was not a reservation for me. They had only one room available which I paid cash for each day for the 5 nights. My room was not serviced throughout my stay but fresh towels were supplied on request. The lady in charge was overloaded with work and seemed at times to be unable to cope. I had trouble obtaining my train ticket which was delivered to g/h and told it was not there when in fact it was. A laundry service was available and on final day I found a shirt among my laundry that was not mine. The bed was comfortable, air/con worked well and the roomy shower had good hot water. The g/h was a glorified back packers with private rooms and seemed to have a few long term residents. For around US$14 per night it was ok but in hindsight I would have paid a bit extra for a nicer place.

don't buy a bus ticket

the dorm is normal,
the problem is with the travel agency aspect of the GH.
When I arrived and asked the price, they told me a price higher than what was written. I thought, no problem, I'll buy the ticket elsewhere. Unfortunately I also asked for another ticket, and this time they answered me as written on the sign. So I bought my night bus ticket to Bangkok Northern Terminal. I aways sleep very well in buses. They brought me to a tiny train station, telling me the bus was on the other side of the border, a few kilometers further. Only it was not a bus but a train, uncomfortable, impossible to sleep. Plus I was lost in Hualampong as I only plan the rest of my trip from northern terminal. Thanks for the white night.
