Great stay here.

A paradise island. The hotel is clean and has great sized rooms. Very generous size bed and comfortable. We had pretty noisy neighbours above us the first 2 nights, but thankfully they then departed and after that we had no noise issues. Nice "beachy" Mexican hobo feel to the property. Think hammocks, Mexican blankets and natural stone wash basins. A/C was great. My best suggestion to the hotel is to put coffee machines in all the rooms. Nowadays that's kinda a given right? Apart from that we loved the room. The beach is opposite the hotel and the town center is close by. The buffet was good. We also tried a couple of places in town which weren't bad. Guy on reception is happy to recommend places to try. Relaxing vacation.

Poor attention to the customer and lots of money

When a guest asks you for a lower pillow because with standard pillows they can't sleep and you say that all pillows are the same and you propose to pay an upgrade to have a pillow that allows them to sleep, it means that you have little attention for the customer and a lot of attention for money. Throw in a beach with heaps of rotting seaweed, the island's general neglect and a hell of a road to get there and you come home a little disappointed. Too bad, I know the HM chain well, which is usually a guarantee in terms of care and attention to the customer, unfortunately this resort is an exception.

Romantic, nice and big welcome.

First time in Holbox but not first time in Mexico. The one thing that amazed us was the lack of cars on the streets which is big plus. Also, zero crime and no need to be on alert.
The hotel: Not new + big welcome at this hotel + nice buffee with themed nights at the dining room and large room.
Negative: Swimming pool not very large and kind of strict on check out time.
WE VERY MUCH LIKED HM PARAISO AND IT IS ON OUR LIST OF GO BACK TO HOTELS.

Hotel with potential. BUT obsolete room and maintenance of the room and bathroom is really too neglected!

The hotel has a good geographical location (nearby beach and along it you can reach the city center in 15 minutes). 2 swimming pools. A quality and different breakfast during our stay. BUT we will not come back because the room is outdated and ESPECIALLY by the inadequacy of the cleaning! (Having to ask for missing items, seeing dirt from previous guests in the bathroom and the definite inadequacy of the involvement of daily cleaning is deplorable)

Excellent location and our overall experience here was a 10!

Staff were all nice and we felt welcome and at home from the first day. Our room was great. Very spacious and nicely decorated. Very clean too. The food was good with a nice selection and they made the effort to change it up on a daily basis. The ocean is just a few steps away but the pool was also pleasant to use and we liked the greenery surrounding the property which gave it a very natural feel. The island is pretty quiet place in general and a perfect place to get away from it all and switch off. We did just that and enjoyed every minute! We are now recommending it to people!
