Peaceful place in the country side near Cuenca
(i recommend shopping at the big carrefour about 17 minutes away) You could make coffee/tea and take it outside in the garden. It was a very peaceful countryside place, very relaxing and only a 20 minute drive from the beautiful city of cuenca. This city has many sights to visit!
The nearby village of Arcas has some good restaurants and is only a 5 minute drive away. Fatima is very welcoming and always available via phone/whatsapp in case you need something. Part of the charm of,the holiday is that Fatima speaks Spanish so google translate may be both your best friends unless you speak the language of course.
We visited ciudad encantada, hiked the rutas de las caras, visited la laguna in uña where we also did some hiking around the laguna. We also visited a parque arceologico Segobriga with the remains of a roman city that used to have a teatro, amfiteatro and we also spotted a big (non poisonous) snake amongst the remains which was amazing. There is plenty to do or you could just relax in the garden and enjoy the country side.
There is also a hiking route along the tiny lagunas at Ballesteros but we did not have time for it so I can not say whether it is nice.

Excellent!!
Rooms are very nice and clean. The service is very familiar and kind.
Dinner in the terrace in summer was a romantic experience, and food/price was good.
Fully recommended for couples!!!

Interesting, Quiet and Comfortable.
The accommodation consists of several rooms located in separate out houses. We stayed in La Jaima which was very comfortable. The bedroom is separate to the living area (which houses the jacuzzi). There is lots of space and storage so you could be very comfortable staying here for a week or two. The decor has a Moorish influence. The only negative I could pick would be that the room was very dark, the lights didn't help either, but maybe this adds to the atmosphere?
Outside there are plenty of tables and chairs to dine or relax outside. There seems to be an outside bar area also, but this was not open on our visit.
There is a small dining area in the main house, where you can avail of breakfast or dinner. Breakfast was simple: cheese, ham, toast, flakes, tea/coffee, fresh orange juice and some pastries. We didn't sample the dinner menu.
Overall I would recommend this simple hotel. The staff were friendly but not overbearing. The rooms were spotless and and the enclosed outdoor garden makes it safe for children to play. Great for a romantic getaway or as good base to explore the surrounding area.
