Worst Motel Stay Ever! Warning!

I'm sure I would run out of space before I wrote about everything that happened to us on this trip so I'll keep it short. We didn't expect "luxury" because we were staying with family during the day. The room was filthy, smelly, and noisy! Items were worn and some of the lighting didn't work. The walls were so thin our dog growled at the neighbors all night because they were coming and going at midnight and it sounded like they were going to enter through the service door in the middle of the room. The front desk empathized with us and said, "Oh, you're in a dog room." "Oh, that's the Construction Workers." Yeah, we paid extra for the "dog room" but it sure didn't look like the pretty pictures online! We had booked for two nights, but couldn't stay another. After getting no response or reply from the Manager (we called almost every day and were told the same thing, "I'll leave her a message and she will get back to you."). Two weeks later we filed a dispute and I sent pictures of the tattered plastic blinds showing light shining through, and water leak damage in the bathroom ceiling, and explained about the noise and smell of the room to the credit card company and said we wanted a refund for the second night because we couldn't stay. The motel recharged our card the next month and said we signed a contract. Well, we were stupid enough to try them and that was our bad! I hope others heed the warning. If you're not happy, there is no recourse...

The room looked generally clean, but the bed was made very sloppily. And the pillow cases had brown stains on them. The sheets were pilling and when we did sleep in the bed every time we turned over the sheets would come up off the mattress! Finally had to strip the bed in the middle of night and remake it.
I paid for two nights. I asked hotel management to have the room cleaned and the bed made properly for our 2nd night’s stay- which they did- but they deactivated our keys, and housekeeping threw out all the soap/shampoo and didn’t replace it!

Room was ok. It was clean but smelled a little. Newly repainted. Bed was reasonable. Breakfast is just grab and go. This fine if just need a few sleep before continuing on Route 40.

It goes by but just for one night

Very aging hotel, a renovation would be welcome. Very damaged furniture, bedding remains acceptable. Despite the relatively close train track, the rooms are surprisingly quiet. The breakfast is really not great, you come to the hotel reception and you go to eat in your room.

A decent alternative for animal service owners

The hotel out appearances, aren’t the best, it could used a new paint, the rooms where good didn’t have carpet wish its very convenient traveling with service dog, rooms could used a good cleaning because the walls had stains, checking was easy , good inexpensive choice it traveling with service animals, they do offer a relief area with doggy bags
