Worst stay in ages

This is the 2nd & last time I will stay at this hotel, never again! The hotel is a relatively nice one, but we had an issue with the woman running the front desk both times, same woman. She was rude & highly unprofessional. I have stayed in many choice hotels all over the country, this one & one near Chicago i will never set foot in again.
This stay, my wife is battling stage 4 beast cancer & still recovering from a mini stoke she had a few weeks back, my wife got sick as we were getting ready to check out & we were late checking out. The woman running the desk came up being rude & ignorant, even after exclaiming why we were running late. I asked her "Would you rather she puke all over the hotel? " she said "Well no, but if you don't leave now, I'm charging you for another night's stay!" I replied back, with our bags in hand, "We are trying to, can't you see our bags? " She stormed into the room & we went down to the front desk. We asked for the manager, but was told he was unavailable. We left & were a few hours down the road to our appointment, we were rescuing 4 pit bull puppies so they didn't get euthanized, when I saw the notification on my phone that there was a second charge on my card from the hotel. When I called, it was the same woman who answered the phone, she, again, was very rude when I asked for the manager. I missed talking to him by an hour, I asked for him to call me, left my name & number & to this moment, he has yet to reach out to me. Even though I was charged for the 2nd night, they refused to allow us to stay there this evening unless we paid for yet another night's stay!

Comfy bed, the bathroom was nice and clean, however, I booked this particular hotel based on the fact that the online listing said that there was an indoor pool with a spa hot tub. Literally, the hot tub was my deciding factor in which of the hotels in the shopping center I chose, since they were all fairly similarly priced. I was really bummed when upon arrival, the hot tub had been filled in with cement and tile and no longer existed. The in room tvs were a bit older and didn’t offer much for channels, and since I was staying here due to a winter storm and there was nothing to do but stay in the hotel, I was a little underwhelmed.
The hotel staff was super friendly and welcoming, and provided great service.
So the hotel itself is fine. I was just bummed that my reason for booking didn’t actually exist anymore.

Upon arrival everything smelled clean. Checked in and was told theres no hot tub as advertised, the pool was cold, there was no toilet paper in our room also not a single washcloth, the jetted tub we paid for didnt even hold water. There was 1 light over the sink in the bathroom that worked. There was multiple light bulbs missing in our room and all throughout the hotel. There was hairs and stains all over our sheets, we killed multiple fleas in our room and still ended up with bites all over me. Its very run down with a lot of "lipstick". The staff was very nice. Overall, one of the worst hotels I've stayed in and I'd definitely never recommend it to anyone else.

Staff & breakfast was great ! The manager said he couldn't do anything about the condition of the room. Room was clean-all paper coming down, curtain shredded on outside,Frig hard to get into. ceiling in bathroom & main room was peeling. toilet seat unstable.
