George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD) is three miles from Belfast’s city centre. Facilities at Belfast City Airport include baby changing, ATMs, and Wi-Fi: available for up to four hours at a time. There’s also a Travelex for changing your spending money into Euros. For something to eat O’ Briens, Costa, and Lavazza all serve coffees and light bites such as sandwiches and cakes. Or, for that last pint of Guinness on Irish soil, there’s the Bushmills Bar which serves beers, stouts, and wines along with whiskey (of course!). Snacks and pub grub are also available at the Bushmills Bar.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN) is just over six miles from Verona’s city centre. The easiest way to get to and from the city centre is via the shuttle bus which runs between the airport and Verona Porta Nuova, the train station. Getting to and from the city centre usually takes between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on traffic. The shuttle bus service runs every 20 minutes during the peak period (6:30 am - 8:30 pm) and every 40 minutes until 11:10 pm. You can purchase tickets from the machine at the airport bus stop, from the driver, or online. Taxis are also available at the airport typically costs between €15* and €25* for a trip to the city centre, depending on the time of day.
If you’re planning on visiting some of the sights outside of central Verona, car hire at Verona Airport is well worth considering.
Practical Information
As this is an international flight, you should aim to arrive at Belfast Airport at least two hours before your flight is due to depart. You will need a valid passport to fly between the United Kingdom and Italy.
