Terminal Information – Departing

There's only one terminal at Jersey Airport, making it an easy place to fly from. There's a small but interesting selection of places to shop and eat in the departure lounge. Typical airport shops WH Smith and World Duty Free both have an outlet here, as do a number of local souvenir shops. If you're visiting friends, family or work associates they might appreciate a local gift from Jersey Pearl, Hersey Pottery or La Mare Wine Estate. If you're feeling peckish you can enjoy something to eat at Island Market. Settle pre-flight nerves with a quick drink at The Bar. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport, so you can keep up with your emails or Snapchat your pals while you wait to board.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Southampton Airpot also has one terminal. Buses and trains connect the airport to the city centre. The Southampton Airport Parkway Station is just a short walk away, and trains take about seven minutes to reach downtown Southampton. If you're not in a hurry you can catch a bus from outside the terminal. Bus tickets are cheaper than train tickets and the journey takes 40 minutes. Metered taxis are available from the rank outside arrivals. Car hire at Southampton Airport is provided by Alamo, National, Enterprise, Europcar, Avis, Budget and Hertz. The Car Hire Reception Centre is across the road from the terminal, beside the multi-storey car park.

Practical Information

Jersey and Southampton are both within the Common Travel Area. You don't need a valid passport to fly between the two cities. You will need to show some photographic identification at the boarding gate for security purposes. You can find a full list of approved ID on Flybe's website. Driving licenses, recently expired passports, and government issued bus passes are usually accepted. Try to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes and no later than one hour before your flight's scheduled departure time.
