Ryanair flights depart from Manchester’s Terminal 3. Terminal 3 doesn’t have as many shops and restaurants as Terminals 1 and 2, however it has all of the shops and services you need to whittle away a few hours before your flight departs. As with most UK airport terminals, there’s both a Boots and a WH Smith which are ideal for picking up travel essentials such as sunscreen and motion sickness tablets as well as a magazine or book to read on the plane. If you need a travel adapter for your time in Stuttgart there’s a Dixons Travel, which sells everything from travel adapters to laptops. Eating and drinking options include selection of cafés such as Caffé Nero and a Costa as well as a Pork & Pickle and Trattoria Milano. WiFi is available throughout the terminal for up to 60 minutes at a time.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Stuttgart Airport is located just under 9 miles from Stuttgart city centre. The easiest way to get into Stuttgart from the airport is via public transport using either the S2 or S3 S-Bahn (overground train) line which takes roughly 27 minutes. S-Bahn tickets can be purchased from the vending machines and should be validated before you get on the train. Vending machines for purchasing tickets are located on the floor below the airport and above the train station. Car hire at Stuttgart airport is available from Avis, Buchbinder, Enterprise, Europcar, Global Drive, Hertz, and Sixt. The car hire desks are located in Terminal 3 on level 2.
Practical Information
As this is an international flight, you should arrive at Manchester Airport at least two hours before your flight to Stuttgart is due to depart. You need a valid passport to travel from the UK to Germany.
