There's a VIP lounge, Sala Azahar, which is available for free to business class passengers. Economy ticket holders can pay for entry on the door: note that payment is by credit card only. Unlimited free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Landing at Madrid Airport can be quite intimidating: the airport is huge. Getting from the airport to the city isn't too tasking, as long as you know where you're going. We recommend checking which metro and bus stops are closest to your hotel. The Metro has a station in every terminal and trains take about 15 minutes to reach Nuevos Ministerios station in the city. From here you can connect to other lines. Bus 203 is an express service to Atocha train station, and takes about 40 minutes to reach the city. This departs from terminals 1, 2 and 4. There's also a bus (line 200) to the Avenida de America transport hub, and another (101) to the Canillejas transport hub. Other transport options include car hire from Madrid Airport, private shuttle transfers, and metered cabs.
Practical Information
You don't need your passport to fly on this route, as it's domestic. We do recommend that British citizens carry their passport at all times for identification purposes: you may be asked to show it when you check in. Try to arrive at the airport no later than one hour before departure.
